Basketry

Basketry is an ancient craft. Basketry items are used from the cradle to the grave. Woven products are functional as well as decorative and are used for storage, shelter, home decorations and other purposes. A variety of natural and synthetic materials are utalized to weave baskets these include; straw, wood, wire, plastics, fabric, etc. Techinques such as randing (over one, under one), wailing, braiding, plaiting and coiling are used to make baskets. Traditional and contemporary baskets can be made by employing age old methods and other processes.

When I sit amongst the strands in a humble meditation the Royal Vessels I create is amazing.
